Dr. Mike Wadman is a veteran emergency physician with 30+ years of clinical and first-response experience. When COVID-19 hit, Dr. Wadman responded with unparalleled speed and strategy as one of the first emergency physicians in the U.S. to care for pandemic patients. He is the Chair of Emergency Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Medical Director of the National Quarantine Unit – the nation’s only federally supported quarantine facility. A leader in emergency medicine, infectious disease response and rural healthcare access, Dr. Wadman has published 100+ original manuscripts and abstracts and contributed to academic textbooks.

Dr. Thanh Nguyen is a highly accomplished healthcare professional with an extensive background in family medicine, emergency medicine, medical research and academia. As the lead designer of MicroWash, he pioneers advancements in respiratory pathogen collection and is deeply committed to integrating technology into medicine to address healthcare disparities and improve patient outcomes. An Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Dr. Nguyen founded the Open-MediciNE initiative, bringing affordable health technologies to underserved regions. His research, supported by multiple grants, spans respiratory virus testing, asthma care and AI in medical workflows.
